Take the Adventure That Comes to You

About Trish

Born in the Maryland suburbs, Trish longed for a more adventurous life. God guided her to that adventurous life, along with her husband Allen, who grew up in southeast Asia as the son of missionaries.

Starting in 2001, Trish and Allen lived and raised their family as missionaries in Honduras. While Honduras is still home, currently they are hanging out in Florida, to get Allen some needed medical care for his back. They hope to return to Honduras once the medical situation is resolved (which is expected to take a year or more).

Honduras

“Take the Adventure That Comes to You” sums up how the Sowers family dealt with the craziness of their lives in Honduras: choosing to see it all as an adventure! That motto has been tested many times, and the family remains amazed and amused by the adventures they’ve had, and they praise God for His faithfulness through all of it!

From cows browsing for food in her kitchen, to being kidnapped along with her 11-year-old son, Trish has stories to tell! And she’s writing them down now to share with all of you, hoping to inspire her readers to step out in faith and take the adventures God sends their way!

Trish’s book, Take the Adventure That Comes to You, will be published by Hope*Books. Date to be announced.

Blogging the Process

Trish will be blogging/podcasting on this site, as she takes her current adventure, which includes:

  • Writing and publishing a book for the first time.
  • Acclimating to life in the US after being away so many years (and dealing with culture shock).
  • Working in international missions – albeit from afar, at the moment
  • Recalling the fun and faith-building stories of life in Honduras
  • Grandparenting – because that’s just so much fun!
